CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace

Intended audience- Persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

Overview- Provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic CPR life support in an emergency. Includes AED component and Obstructed Airway skills.

Basic First Aid

Intended audience- Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children or both; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

Overview- Properly applied first aid can save lives, reduce recovery time and quite possibly mean the difference between temporary disability or lifelong disability for the victim. The Basic First Aid program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like bleeding, shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reaction, diabetic and seizures is shared.

CPR Pro for Healthcare Providers

Intended audience- For healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional-level basic life support training as a job requirement.

Overview- In this course you will learn advanced BLS CPR skills for healthcare providers. Some training components included are: recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke, foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Bag-Valve-Mask techniques and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED). This program is intended for healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional level basic life support training as a job requirement.

Bloodborne Pathogens / HIV

Intended audience-Any employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties, including but not limited to; healthcare workers, public safety personnel, housekeeping and custodial workers , childcare providers, educational and correctional workers and designated first aid providers.

Overview- The Bloodborne Pathogens awareness program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

Oxygen Administration
Intended Audience- Community and workplace lay rescuers

Overview- Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Emergency Oxygen administration is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.
