Q- Who is the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)?
A- ASHI is an professional association of more than 35,000
professional safety and health educators providing nationally
recognized training programs through approximately 5,500 approved
Training Centers across the United States and in over 20 foreign
countries. Northwest Health and Safety Inc. has been an affiliated
ASHI Training center for the past 8 years. Q- Have ASHI
programs been externally reviewed, accepted, approved, or
accredited?A- Yes. ASHI works on a regular and ongoing basis
with hundreds of federal and state authorities to ensure regulatory
compliance. ASHI programs have been reviewed, accepted, approved or
have satisfied the requirements of numerous state and federal
agencies, including the Department of Labor (OSHA) and the
Department of Homeland Security (USCG). Additionally, both CPRPro™
and ASHI ACLS™, our professional level resuscitation courses, have
been nationally accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating
Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).
Q- How long are the certification cards good for?
A-Generally CPR and First Aid Cards are good for 2 years. However
your employer, licensing or certification may require training or
re-certification more frequently.
Q- I took a class with Northwest Health and Safety Inc and
lost my card. Can I get a replacement card?
A- Yes, just call us at 360-737-8910 and we can issue you a
replacement card. There is a $5 fee for each replacement card.
Q- I have a large group of people that need training. Are
there any discounts for large groups?
A- Yes, Contact our training coordinator Melissa at 360-737-8910 and she can
provide you with group pricing.
